This walk takes us through the best known
bits of Clerkenwell, the Green where rebels and radicals have gathered for centuries, where once a Welsh school is now the Marx Memorial Library, and today a trendy area of bars and restaurants.
We'll start our walk at Farringdon station, the first underground railway in the world, and see a pub which holds a pawnbroker's license. We'll pass by one time workshops of Hugeonot craftsmen and see what remains of the Priory of St John of Jerusalem...and more besides.
A perfect introduction to Clerkenwell.
